Abstract: A Y3+ complex with triethylenetetraaminehexaacetic acid was prepared and its composition and structure were determined as K4[Y2(Httha)2]·14H2O by elemental analysis and single-crystal X-ray four circle diffraction analysis. In the binuclear complex, the two YN3O6 parts all form nine-coordinate monocapped square anti prismatic structures. There are a lot of water molecules in the unit cell which form hydrogen bonds.
