Heteroatom M-ZSM-12 zeolites(M=B, Al, Ge, Ga, Fe) are hydrothermally synthesized and it is proved that the heteroatom M is involved in the framework of synthesized molecular sieves by means of XRD, IR spectra. The results of adsorption and diffusion experiments indicate that the heteroatom M modifies the pore volume, specific surface area, and the channel of ZSM-12 molecular sieves.

Reaction ergodography for the addition of lithium hydride to acetylene indicates that the lithium hydride, in both monomeric and dimeric forms, reacts with the acetylene via two similar and competitive pathways. Hence, we have obtained the pseudo-first-order rate constant of this reaction.

The present paper contains the reaction mechanism of the rare earth complex with 2-(2-arsenophenylazo)-7-(2, 6-dichloro-4-fluoro-phenylazo)- 1, 8-dihydroxynaphthalene-3, 6-disulfonic acid (DCF-arsenazo) studied preliminarily with a fully automated stopped-flow analyzer. A method with a high sensitivity and selectivity is proposed for the simultaneous determination of samarium and gadolinium based on the differential kinetic reaction of the rare earth complex with DCF-arsenazo. Sm and Gd in their concentrated oxides were determined with the relative errors less than 6%.

The influence of the surface state of the graphite furnace atomizer on the atomization of hydrides has been studied by means of surface film coating and quantum chemistry CN-DO/2 calculations. The results of the study prove that the atomization of AsH3, SbH3 and BiH3 in the graphite furnace atomizer is not a simple gas phase pyrolytic process, but a surface catalysis pyrolytic process.

The optimal conditions for the complexation reaction of meso- tetra(3-methoxy-4-hy-droxyphenyl) porphine T(3-M-4HP)P with platinum and rhodium are presented. Beer's Law is obeyed when the concentration of rhodium is in the range of 0. 45~1.15 μg/25mL. The molar absorptivity of rhodium was found to be 1.99×106 L·mol-1·cm-1 at 460 nm. The value of εPt was found to be 6. 28×105 L·mol-1·cm-1 by linear regression method. The K coefficient method and compensating coefficient were used to determine platinum and rhodium simultaneouly without removal or masking of the interferents in the sample. The results for the determination of platinum and rhodium in the mixed solution of platinum and rhodium are satisfactory.

The reactions of lithiated 2-ferrocenyl-1,3-dithiane with alkyl carbonyl compounds are studied. Fifteen of title compounds which are new ferrocene derivatives were synthesized and structurally characterized by elemental analysis, IR and 1H NMR spectra. The 1H NMR spectra of the dithiane compounds are briefly discussed.

The present paper covers the structure of a new sesterterpene, phyllofenone A(1) , isolated from the South China Sea sponge Phyllospongia foliascens. Phyllofenone A is a member of the scalarane class of sesterterpenes with a (C-20, C-24)-bishomo-(C-25)-nortetra-cyclic skeleton. The structure charcterization was based on one- and two-dimensional NMR and mass spectroscopy with the assistance of molecular modeling. Phyllofenone A shows weak antifungal activity against Candida pseudotropicalis.

The deformation potential theory for one-dimensional organic polymer is studied. This approximation is then used to calculate the mobilities of carriers and the conductivity of trans-polymonocyanoacetylene (PMCA). The results of calculations are in fairly good agreement with experimental data.
