Abstract: Supported Ru-based catalysts, prepared by a surfactant-stabilized colloidal method, exhibited a good selectivity to bis(4-aminocyclohexyl)methane via the hydrogenation of 4,4′-methylenedianiline. Transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and X-ray diffraction(XRD) characterization showed Ru nanoparticles were well-dispersed on activated carbon, leading to the high activity and selectivity to the product.
