Studies on Ester Exchange Reaction

Abstract: The ester exchange reactions of saturated aliphatic acid esters, unsaturated aliphatic acid esters and aromatic carboxlic acid esters with various alcohols catalyzed by ferric sulfate hydrate show that this catalyst is efficient and the yields are higher than those catalyzed by usual catalyst such as sulfuric acid.
