Abstract: Some aspects of the fundamental problems of chemometrics are reviewed based on the research work undertaken in this laboratory. The topics touched upon Include analytical information theory, experimental design and optimization, sampling, analytical detection theory, calibration, signal processing, chemical pattern recognition, quantitative structure-activity relationships, digital simulation, and teaching chemometrics as a chemical discipline.
