Abstract:

In the intense search for high-energy density cathode materials for use in lithium-ion rechargeable battery technology,LiCoO2 has become the first,and one of the most promising,for commercial applications1.Sol-gel chemistry has recently evolved as a powerful approach for preparing inorganic materials such as glasses and ceramics2.
